Nick Cannon's the Big Draw at GQ Party
DENVER—For all the talk about celebrities flocking to Denver, there weren't too many of them in evidence at a highly anticipated “post-gavel” party last night at Tamayo in the LoDo neighborhood of Denver. Word of mouth on the party, thrown by GQ and co-sponsors, Maker's Mark (bourbon!) had the affair pegged as the big do of convention week, and at around 10 o'clock the streets of “Lower Downtown” were crawling with bloggers in smart party dresses and gentlemen who'd put some product in their hair.
They packed the place, mostly journalists and political types. Dan Abrams was there. So was actor Tim Daly. read more »

Rag & Bone Shows Plenty Of Meat At Cipriani 42nd Street
We knew it’d be good when we walked in and immediately spied a bar: the one element fashion shows have been missing all week. The crowd included Vogue editors, straight from the Erin Fetherston show, Dash Snow look-alikes, straight from perhaps the methadone clinic, and rapper Nick Cannon, wearing a suit and spiriting fiancé Selita Ebanks through the crowd to the front of the line. Photographers besieged Amanda Peet, sitting front row, until Kate Bosworth showed up, sending them into a tizzy. Ms. Bosworth rushed backstage, the entire press corps hot on her trail. Jamie Burke, ex of Sienna Miller and Courtney Love, slumped in the front row wearing sunglasses and not appearing to have washed his hair.
And the safari-casual clothes—wow! Or maybe it was the models (among them Jessica Stam, Liya Kebede, Sasha Pivovarova, Angela Lindvall, and Coco Rocha)—not emaciated or even angular, but just plain hot. The show ended with a bang!—or rather, a Brazilian in a short black evening dress, and the crowd went wild—at least, as much as their Botox would permit. The label’s young designers, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, stepped out for a humble wave, wearing jeans. Maybe it was the low lighting, but we thought their eyes looked a little misty.
