Michael Lohan Gets Knocked Out
Celebrity dad Michael Lohan has announced that he will put himself up for auction to fight the highest bidder in a three-round boxing match at the annual Long Island Fight For Charity on Nov. 24 at the Long Island Hilton in Melville.
Bids are starting at $5,000 and money raised from the event will go towards charities like the Family Residence and Essential Enterprises Inc. According to its website, FREE (nice acronym!) assists individuals with mental challenges and developmental disabilities.
The event has apparently been months in the planning. In August, Mr. Lohan asked Page Six's Richard Johnson and Britney Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline to join him in the boxing ring, but both declined. "I don’t care who it is; it’s for charity. I’ve been beaten up by the press, so I don’t care if I get a few shots by a kid half my age," Mr. Lohan told OK! magazine at the time. read more »

We have long been fascinated by the new Kirsten Dunst—the rehabilitated Downtown girl whose dinners at Freeman's and late night outings have grabbed New Yorkers' attention—but until now, we have not heard Ms. Dunst discuss her reinvented self. It seems she has grown and evolved since spending time at Cirque Lodge in Utah earlier this year (she checked out in late March), which was the final step to leaving her child actress self behind and becoming an adult, she tells Harper's Bazaar in their October issue.
Here we thought we were the official Kiki experts, but given the rich detail in the profile, we bring you a 10-point summary of what we learned about the rehabilitated Ms. Dunst read more »

A Reader's Guide to Celebrity Parent Tell-All Books
Apparently, an increasingly coherent and aware Britney Spears is upset about her mother Lynne's forthcoming tell-all, Through the Storm. The book reveals, among other things, that the pop star lost her virginity at 14 and began drinking in middle school, along with embarrassing details about Britney's many, many crack-ups. No longer content to act as a passive, panty-less A.T.M. for everyone in her circle, Spears is "furious" with her mother, especially since she thinks Lynne "caused so many of her problems and issues" to begin with. We're inclined to believe her--history tells us that just about everything can be blamed on overbearing, childhood-denying, money-hungry stage parents. read more »
