Yesterday, we issued some tardies to the designers who continue to struggle to begin their shows on time. (Even Diane von Furstenberg, the issuer of the original pleading letter asking designers to be punctual, got one!)
Since then we've learned that Carolina Herrera nearly lost her mind when Renee Zellweger showed up over 25 minutes late to her Monday morning show. And Monday's 1 p.m. Thakoon show was reportedly held up for 57 minutes due to Kanye West’s late arrival. read more »

On Sunday, August 31, polo player and contractor Michael Borrico's Water Mill estate was host to Evian's lavish "A Taste of Polo" event. A breathless press release had assured us there would be "celebrities, chefs, polo players, and tennis stars in town for the US Open," and some of those promised to be in attendance trotted out their summer whites for the final time this season. Spin Me Right Round! How Naughty Kelly Ripa Stays Fit at the Beach
On Sunday, Aug. 4, Gregg Cook, an instructor at ZoneHampton, an East Hampton gym frequented by Kelly Ripa, Katie Lee Joel and Marci Klein, was teaching an 8:30 a.m. spin class.
Mr. Cook, who has a sharp nose, chiseled jaw, intimidating biceps and a tattoo of a thunderbird on his forearm, was sitting at the front of the completely full class on a stationary bike in a red muscle T-shirt and Spandex bicycling shorts.

Celebrity power lunch at Michael's! Well, sort of. In honor of April Fool's, Page Six is reporting that Michael's will have a table where celebrity impersonators of Amy Winehouse, Eliot Spitzer, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and baby Harlow (don't worry, it's a doll, not a hired baby look-alike) will appear to be having lunch. For more festivities, Joey Scaggs will apparently lead his annual April Fool's parade down Fifth Avenue that will be led by a George Bush impersonator, who will get a head start and then get chased by an angry mob. The parade will also feature Michael Vick on a dog-fighting float and a Tourette's syndrome float with Don Imus, Ann Coulter and Dog the Bounty Hunter yelling obscenities at the crowds. Fun! Katie Lee Joel—food columnist, cookbook author, Extra! correspondent, Iron Chef judge, former Top Chef host and third wife of singer-pianist Billy—was recently recounting her March 24 appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
“I made a meatloaf, and she liked it!” said Ms. Joel, 26, between bites of an avocado salad at the cafe Sant Ambroeus on West Fourth Street, near the townhouse she shares with her husband and two pugs (they also have homes in Miami and on Long Island). “My husband’s not big on doing TV.
