This Saturday night in Albany is the Legislative Correspondents Association's annual dinner, the Capitol version of the Inner Circle. Only no Mike Bloomberg. Oh, actually that's like the Inner Circle too.

Anyway, we're told the rebuttals -- high-profile gigs for ambitious pols -- will be delivered by two likely 2006 candidates, GOP favorite Jeanine Pirro and Attorney General candidate Mike Gianaris, as well as by Governor Pataki. For both Pirro and Gianaris, the time on stage shows their backing from their parties' power brokers in Albany.

"Let's just say there will be ample barbs at all my potential apponents for AG, including the Republicans," Gianaris told us.
