Sarah Palin Is Not One of Oprah's Favorite Things
According to a statement released to TMZ, Oprah Winfrey will not be inviting Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin onto her show.
Ms. Winfrey's statement was made on the heels of a Drudge Report report that "Oprah's staff is sharply divided on the merits of booking Sarah Palin..."
Here's what Ms. Winfrey told TMZ:
The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.
Another celebrity bloviator...self-absorbed, know-nothing that is quickly losing her influence with the masses. Let her continue lying and she will soon lose even her most devoted fans....i used to be one, but her unqualified race-based support of Obama was too obvious.

Big Deal! So Oprah won't host Sarah Palin. It would be a total waste of Sarah's time and effort to be on the show. Oprah's response is standard of the liberal democratic biased media, they will only support the things that go against the true mainstream. Or, better yet, Oprah may even be afraid that Sarah will upstage her and show the people exactly what kind of person Oprah really is!!!

After a mediocre (at best) acceptance speech I still don't know who she is. She wasn't properly vetted and when the dirt on her hit the press everyone wanted to blame Obama and his supporters. And talking about keeping kids out of politics...Conservatives should practice what they preach! This woman has become more popular in less than a week than Obama and McCain. What does that say about the American People?...wow...People are raving about how much they love her, her kids, even her parents who, as far as I know...have only been shown once...in the audience at the RNC...What is going on?

People are not focused on what is really important, like fixing the infrastucture of this country (bridges,levees,rail roads etc) provide affordable health care, secure retirement, better and more affordable education, think of our next generation!
Americans are sensitive and preoccupied who and what the person looks like, his or her Personal life. It is unrealistic to think that politicians are people who are saints, completely clean. Look at their agenda, their work ethics, diplomacy and foreign polic, do they have the connection and the hunger to change thing for all people. Why do they want to chance and lead this county?

first of all saraha palin is against stem cell research ,gay rights ,abortion ,and is killing off wild life in alaska ,she believes sex education should be taken out of the schools she as of a few weeks ago did not even know what the VP does ! she does not speak for any women i know .she is not running for the president of the united states she is running for V.P so if that were the case and she granted an interview with her i guess Joe Biden should have one as well right ??????

I stopped watching oprah about a year ago, she has lots of money and does a lot of nice charitable things for the black community and thats nice, no arguement there, it was not even a suprise when she endorsed obama. what is a surprise is her reaction to Palin, this is a lady who worked her way up has a family a husband and a career, yes virginia we can do it all. Palin is a breath of fresh air, she's not an old washington politcal hack with a self serving agenda. Isn't this the very thing obama wants new faces new policy a change in washinton, oh I suppose it's only good if its him. Been a democrate all my life (56 yrs old) I have changed to independent and will vote for Mccain.

What's the big deal over this. So Oprah is not allowing or is not inviting Palin to be on her show. Isn't this the stance she has taken with all the presidential/vice-presidents candidates once they officially made their announcement to run for these offices. I'll say she's playing it safe. Oprah herself realizes she does not have that kind of influence. White women are making it appear as if Oprah owes them this. Learn to think and decide for yourself!
It's ludicrous for Oprah to state that she will not invite Sarah Palin to her show because she doesn't want her program to become a political platform. Well, I think it's a little too late for that since she's already interviewed Obama in her show.
I find this entire situation very unamerican. We live in a free country where we, americans, deserve to get information from all political sides in order to make an educated decision when choosing our next president.
Her actions reminds me of how communist goverments work: only show people what the government wants the masses to hear and nothing else.
I hope she gives both parties a chance to give us, americans, access to all points of views. At the end of the day, it's not about political parties, but it's about who is best for our nation.
Wow...I am amazed at how quickly America can have the wool pulled over their eyes. First of all, Sarah Palin is in NO WAY prepared to run this country. The facts...the facts prove that. Yes, I know she is the VP candidate, but let's face it...there is a real possibility that she could be first in command. Not only is she an extremist, I truly do not believe she would know what to do or say without the help of BUSH'S speech writer and a state of the art teleprompter. Someone did mention puppet strings and that is exactly what she is...a damn puppet. McCain chose her not because she is a brilliant leader, not because she has done great things for this country, not even because he thinks she will do a good job in office...he chose her to serve his self-rightious ego and its a sad attempt to get the women that were voting for Hillary Clinton simply because she's a woman. Sarah is no Hillary. McCain is no leader. If you are feeding into this ridiculous hype, and you have the audacity to vote/not vote for someone simply because of their gender or their race...then you are like a baby eating right out of McCain's hands....he did state that this election would not be about issues and would more or less be a popularity contest. Barack & Oprah do not care about anybody but them selves and their own career. Barack had a major contributer who was a slum owner. He supposed to be helping those people but he is really helping himself. He is a big phony! You think he knows what he is doing? He has no clue! It is all big hype...Why do people want him in office to get had outs, people have to work. I am a taxpayer & I do not want to support a women in the slums that have 6 different dadys for her kids. She keeps having them to increase public assistance. Those kids pretty much raise themselves and they grow up to a life in crime. Not a good scenario...We all have to do are part to be good citizens not a burden to this country. I am for church programs that help people get their feet on the ground, but radical white hating churches that say godam america, NO THANKS. It was hard working all those hours, but I know my coworkers relied on me. Special Grants, Scholarships and special treatment because she is a black female. Who paid for this? middle America, you know the person who can't make it day to day! Where are the special grants and scholarships for the middle America kids?
