Lou Dobbs to Host Eponymous 'Convention' For Independent Voters
Who needs delegates and vice presidential nominees, sex on skates and funny hats to hold a convention? Not Lou Dobbs.
CNN announced today that next week Mr. Dobbs will be hosting a "convention" targetting independent-minded voters during his regular 7 to 8 p.m. hour on CNN.

In the wake of the Democratic and Republican national conventions, CNN's Lou Dobbs will host the first-ever televised independent convention. "Lou Dobbs Tonight Independent Convention" airs throughout the week of Sept. 8 to focus on election-oriented topics from an independent perspective not traditionally the focus of the Democrats or Republicans.
"Independent Convention," which airs during the regularly scheduled Lou Dobbs Tonight timeslot from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (ET), originates from New York on Monday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 9, and then from Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, Sept. 10, and Thursday, Sept. 11. The television event concludes on Friday, Sept. 12, with a rally at Freedom High School in South Riding, Va.
No word yet as to whether the Dobbs Convention will feature a Captain Morgan's lounge. Though it's hard for the Media Mob to imagine a convention without one.

I agree! These conventions are a joke-- and it is on the American people. I'm in the Consulting business and I can honestly say that Politicians have us Consultants beat hands-down on delivering so little content for so much money.
Nonetheless, I'm willing to give this one a chance if it brings forth issues and meaningful discussion.
