Free Bon Jovi Concert Slated for Central Park
As the Politicker's Azi Paybarah reported this morning, all New Jersey cheese-rock fans will descend upon Central Park on July 12 for the Jon Bon Jovi concert. It's free but you'll need tickets. Where can you get 'em? We're half way there!
According to a press release posted by Brooklyn Vegan, beginning tomorrow, July 2, tickets will be distributed at baseball parks and events throughout New York City. The bulk of tickets distributed at the ballparks will be found at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, with others made available at Shea Stadium in Queens, KeySpan Park in Brooklyn, and at the home of the Staten Island Yankees at 9 a.m. In addition, tickets also will be available in Manhattan at DHL All-Star FanFest at the Jacob K. Javits Center on Friday, July 11. MLB.com also will be conducting a random drawing for tickets.
Bank of America will also promote the concert and offer ticket giveaways through radio promotions in the tri-state area.

CW11 was giving away tickets this morning and I entered first thing but I'm still not sure if I got them or not, or when I'll find out. If anyone else entered on their site - do you know when we find out if we got the tickets?

I did the same. The fine print said that winners would be notified by July 8 or when the tickets finish, whichever is earlier.

listen dumb asses. if you have a job your not going to get tickets. tickets are only for the people who don't have a job to go to. we work all day and pay taxes so others don't have to.

Hey asshole I have a damn job, I just got my ass up early in the morning, went and got the tickets at yankee stadium and then took my ass to work.. Now I am sitting here happy as hell that I am going while I do my job. Stupid!
Your in the city so you should be able to go to the Javit center and pick the tickets up there... Or try the MLB store in times square.. there is a chance they might have them.. this is to kick off all star week so base ball related events should have the tickets

Lord knows Bon Jovi couldn't sell tickets, they have to give them away for free.

It's amazing how easy it is for some people to put their foot in their big mouths. Case in point - Mr. Anonymous who called everyone "dumb asses" and commented about working. Sounds like he's pretty miserable with his job?
Here's some info: I had an email yesterday from AEG concert promoters whose mailing list I am on, telling me about the tickets. They sent an email with a code that gave me access to two tickets this morning through Ticketmaster. I got a pair for my sister at about 9:40am and it took less than 5 minutes Oh, yes... I was at work. Also, for anyone that gets the tickets on-line, they are only offered as TicketFast tickets, and they were not immediately released. Once used the code no longer works.

I CANT GET TICKETS AND HAVE BEEN TO SHEA STADIUM. WE ALL SHOULD WRITE TO MAYOR BLOOMBERG AND TELL HIM THAT THE GREEDY HOGS ARE SELLING "FREE" TICKETS ON E BAY AND WE CANT EVEN GET ONE..I ALREADY SENT MY E MAIL TO HIM, HE NEEDS TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON AND HOW UPSET WE ARE

As far as DHL fanfest...do you actually have to buy a fanfest ticket ($30) to get Bon Jovi tickets? If so, it'll probably be cheaper to buy them on ebay given fuel costs. Doh!! Anybody know?
Where are people getting the ticketmaster codes?
I actually got tickets this morning in East Hanover, NJ. WPLJ was giving them away this morning starting at 7am at a car dealer. I actually got there at 7:15 and they had plenty of tickets. My advice, listen to WPLJ every morning cause they have been in different locations throughout the area giving them away but you don't know until the morning of it. I lucked out cause the dealership was actually on my route to work. Hope this helps. Good Luck getting them
